In an effort to revolutionize food production, medical advancements, and sustainable fuel production, the UK Government has unveiled its £2 billion National Vision for Engineering Biology.

In order to boost the country’s biotech ecosystem, which encompasses the cultivated meat and fermentation industry, the government has committed to funding the required activities and reforms over the course of the next decade. By specifically highlighting these technologies, the new strategy aims to showcase their ability to address climate and food security concerns by lessening the demand for land use in pasture.
