Eat Just, based in San Francisco, is famous for its plant-based faux-egg called Just Egg. However, it is also working on developing cell-based meat under its Good Meat division.

Good Meat made history in December 2020 by becoming the first company approved to sell lab-grown meat by Singapore’s regulator. In addition to Upside Foods, another company, it has also won similar approval in the US.

Andy Coyne of Just Food interviewed Good Meat’s CEO, Josh Tetrick, about the future plans and challenges of the exciting but emerging industry.

Eat Just, the company behind Just Egg, also has a subsidiary called Good Meat. It is a distinct legal entity that raises its own capital and has its own team members. However, it can utilize the distribution, resources, talent, and more of the larger group.
