Plant-based Choice in National Burger Day

You can buy four Beyond Burgers for £6 (usually £9), only at Ocado, this National Burger Day (August 25th)

Help the planet and save money this National Burger Day (Thursday 25 August) with a delicious Beyond Burger from Beyond Meat. Whether hosting a BBQ for friends ahead of the long bank holiday weekend or enjoying a kick about and a burger in the garden with the kids, Beyond Meat has you covered.

The Beyond Burger is a plant-based meat burger that’s designed to look, cook, and satisfy like beef. It has all the juicy, meaty deliciousness of a traditional burger, but comes with the upsides of being better for the planet – it is packed with 19g of protein and no cholesterol, soy or gluten. Winner of several UK taste tests, this delicious patty is sure to please even the most ardent carnivore looking for their burger fix.

Peter Andre says: “When it comes to burgers, Emily somehow has mastered the ‘Big Mac’ sauce you get at McDonald’s. I don’t know how she’s done it, but literally, you close your eyes and you think you’re eating that sauce. So, when we make kind of our version of a McPlant at our home BBQ, it really makes a difference. Now, I love animal meat but I also love plant-based foods. I think the Beyond Burger is brilliant. You know, it’s beyond your average burger, mate. It’s something special.”

She added “My thoughts on plant-based food are very strong. You know, I do love meat but I love, I LOVE plant-based meat. I think that many times, I’m finding that some of my meals don’t need meat in them, which is not only great for your health, to have the balance, but also, it’s very good for the planet. And brioche buns, it doesn’t even have to be brioche buns but you’ve just got to put a lot of love into it. I think more and more people are starting to realize that there are so many incredible flavours out there without having to eat animal meat.”
