British plant-based food brand, Cauldron Foods, has announced it is extending its range with the launch of two new products perfect for warmer months

Vegans need not be left out of any BBQ plans for the forthcoming spell of good weather. Some non-meat eaters feel excluded by the apparent lack of plant-based options on the menu.

But British plant-based food brand, Cauldron Foods, has announced it is extending its bestselling range with the launch of two new flavour-packed products that are perfect for the warmer months – Quick & Tasty Smoky BBQ Block and Hoisin Tofu.

BBQ

Both are certified Carbon Neutral, made with sustainable soya and both feature 100 per cent recyclable packaging. As well as being good for the planet, these delicious plant-based products are both high in calcium and protein whilst also being a source of iron and low in saturated fat.

Developed by Senior Development Chef, Stu Henshall, Cauldron’s Quick & Tasty Smoky BBQ Block is a smoked firm tofu, providing a rich depth of flavour, and served with a delicious BBQ marinade ensuing a mouth-watering taste sensation with every bite. Unlike usual tofu blocks, this is ready to cook straight from pack.

Hoisin Tofu is expertly spiced with fennel and lemongrass and lightly coated with a distinctly aromatic sweet and salty sauce – giving it an authentic Asian-inspired taste sensation. Both items are available from Waitrose, Ocado, and Tesco.

Tom Lindley, Cauldron Business Unit head, said: “As consumers look for sustainable and tasty ingredients when scratch cooking we hope the addition of our Hoisin Tofu and Quick & Tasty Smoky BBQ Block allows our customers to easily delve into even more cuisines and flavour combinations. It’s really important that as a leading plant-based food brand, we’re creating innovative and delicious new ranges to help plant-based eating become more and more accessible. These new additions are ready to cook, meaning it’s never been easier to enjoy the delights of a plant-based diet.”
