Multus, a biotech company from the UK, has announced the launch of what it says is the world’s first facility for serum-free growth media at commercial scale, which will help lower the cost of producing cultured meat. The company has not disclosed the exact place of the facility yet.

The company was able to expand after securing £7.9 million in January to scale up its growth media production, supported by a £2.15 million grant from Innovate UK via the EIC Accelerator that did not require any equity.
