By Lauren Gibbons

The biotech company known as BSF Enterprise, which specializes in lab-grown meat, recently shared an update regarding the progress of their partnership with 3DBT in various product verticals.

3DBT’s Etsyl™ is currently undergoing tests to determine if it is suitable for use in the global cosmetic leader’s skin cream cosmetic solutions, as the two companies have teamed up. The company 3DBT is harnessing the inherent regenerative capabilities of human skin cells in order to facilitate quick healing and regeneration of damaged tissues.

Furthermore, thanks to a grant of EUR 612,000 from EIT Food, the production and sales of 3DBT’s City-Mix™ are being accelerated. City-Mix™ is a revolutionary animal-free cell growth agent that is specifically designed for the purpose of culturing skin, muscle, and fat cells. It is utilized in the production of cultivated meat and leather, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional methods.

The recent launch of “Advances in Cultured Meat Technology”, a publication co-authored by CEO Prof. Che Connon, not only enhances 3DBT’s global reputation in the field of cultured meat but also addresses crucial issues related to food security.

Che Connon, the Chief Executive of 3DBT and also the Managing Director of BSF, expressed his delight at the opportunity to collaborate with one of the leading cosmetic companies worldwide. He emphasized how this collaboration serves as a testament to the immense potential of their Etsyl product and the wide range of applications their technology can offer. Additionally, with the advantage of having a larger team at their disposal, their goal is to not only establish additional partnerships and increase sales for their diverse range of products, but to also do so at a faster rate. As a result, they approach the future with a sense of assurance and optimism.
