The startup company Orbillion Bio, which specializes in lab-grown meat, has recently obtained financial backing from investors. This funding will be instrumental in advancing their proprietary technology, specifically a predictive model designed to enhance the production of cultivated meat. With this support, the company aims to introduce their innovative meat product to consumers in the upcoming year.

Orbillion excels in the production of heritage breed meats, including Wagyu, elk, and lamb. The company is now channeling its efforts into developing a ground beef alternative that combines lab-grown meat with botanical elements. This initiative aims to deliver a product that is both flavorful and nourishing, yet competitively priced in comparison to traditional meat offerings, as stated by CEO Patricia Bubner in a discussion with Cultivated X.

The funding initiative was spearheaded by The Venture Collective, in partnership with At One Ventures. Support also came from YCombinator, Metaplanet, and a host of influential international food industry investors, all endorsing the firm’s innovative cultivated meat technology. With this latest financial injection, the startup’s aggregate financing has reached the $15 million mark.
