Agronomics, a prominent investment firm in cellular agriculture and cultivated meat, will receive a $25 million loan guarantee from the USDA for their biomanufacturing facility in Indiana.

The funding, which has been allocated for the finalization of Liberation Labs’ 600,000-liter bio-protein facility, will play a crucial role in addressing the industry’s fermentation production capacity deficit. The facility, which is scheduled to begin commercial production in Q1 2025, aims to efficiently produce novel proteins, specifically those that mimic the properties of egg and dairy proteins.
